Stent for Life Initiative (SFL) is unique European platform for interventional cardiologists, government representatives, industry partners and patients to work together and by shaping the health care systems and medical practices in respective countries ensure that majority of patients with acute myocardial infarction have an equal access to the life saving indication of primary percutaneous intervention.A unique business model addressing the complex patient treatment pathway was designed and specific tailored programmes were implemented in participating countries in Europe, Africa, India and South America (2009 – 2017).

ACT NOW. SAVE A LIFE
In collaboration with selected leading communication agency, public education campaign was developed to shorten the patient delay, aimed at encouraging people to Save a Life by knowing the signs of a heart attack and acting quickly to call emergency medical services so the best treatment can be received in the fastest possible timeframe. The campaign was launched through varying country-specific roll-out strategies in 2011 – 2016, in Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Egypt, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, and Russia.

 

CONTRACT4LIFE | After a Heart Attack
Design and implementation of nurse assisted secondary prevention intervention including patient self-awareness program empowers patients after heart attack to better understand their risk factors, and take a central role in their recovery and lifestyle changes. Program was implemented in the Czech Republic, Greece, Portugal and Spain in 2016 – 2018.
